Pay per click campaign is relatively new to the Indian market. Since the recession reduces the advertising budget for almost every company, they are compelled to go for an alternative, yet economic mode of advertisement.
Indian customers as well as companies are, we can say a bit reluctant about the efficiency of Pay per click ads. If I think from a customer’s perspective, I need only the most relevant information from the search engines and I don’t like wasting my time opening up many websites and finding irrelevant information. So when I enter a search query on the search engine and if I find a paid search result matches my search, I’d click on it expecting to find what I want. So this is where, I think most of the Indian advertisers fail.
The success of a pay per click campaign or let’s take Adwords, completely depends on a single factor, RELEVANCY OF THE SEARCH RESULTS TO THE SEARCH. An advertiser selects irrelevant keywords, writes ads with offers that cannot be found in the website makes the pay per click advertisement a devastating experience for many a company.
If I just explain a successful Adwords campaign in few words it would be
“The Relevancy of the Keywords continues through the Ad Texts to the landing page.”
To understand the relevancy factor you need to look into many other factors like the goal of your campaign, the business you need to achieve from the campaign, the customers you target, their geolocations, customer preferences, the most profitable service or product if the company offers multiple products and many more.
